Trojans bested Hilton Head in a high-scoring affair, 9-6.
Trojans got things moving in the first inning, when Julius Reynolds doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Hilton Head scored three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by Hilton Head was led by Daniel Keber, Ethan Russo, and Kyle Markowitz, all driving in runs in the inning.
Hogan Garner was credited with the victory for Trojans. The righthander allowed two hits and one run over three and a third innings, striking out four and walking zero. Owen French, Grayson Bennett, and Austin Dukes all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Dukes recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Trojans.
Jack Mastorocco took the loss for Hilton Head. The pitcher allowed eight hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out six.
Trojans racked up ten hits in the game. McAndrew Mangan and Stephen West all collected multiple hits for Trojans. West and Mangan each collected two hits to lead Trojans.
Keber went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Hilton Head in hits.
