Cheer interest meeting Feb 19th after school in Auditorium. Any girls interested in competitive cheer and sideline cheer need to meet in the auditorium immediately after school on Feb 19th.
Unfortunately the James Island Cheer Clinic scheduled for next Tuesday is being rescheduled. It is going to be held on a Saturday during football season. As soon as a new date is confirmed, we will pass along the information.
The JI Cheerleaders had their banquet Monday night. Receiving awards were (L to R): Tori DuPre – 12th Grade Scholar Athlete, Cassie Hunt – 10th Grade Scholar Athlete, Carson Davis – 11th Grade Scholar Athlete, Katie Hindman – Coaches Award, Emily Adkins – Leadership Award. Go Trojans!
Competition/Football sideline cheer will hold tryouts May 21st – May 23rd in the cafeteria from 3:30 to 6:30. All athletes must have a physical to try out and will need to wear athletic clothing and shoes. Kelsey Johnson (former Penn State cheerleader) will be the new cheer coach for the upcoming season.
For our community service project this year, the JI Cheerleaders are Teaming Up for St. Jude (collecting money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital)! Our official event will be at the home football game vs. Stall on 9/7. At this past Friday’s football game, the cheerleaders collected over $300 at halftime from Trojan fans!!! We
